Venn receives Soho treat - 12th August 02
 Former Woodhurst boss, Darren Venn was today in London during a whistle-stop
tour of England for Vicenza Calcio's participation in a youth tournament in
Newcastle and was surprised to
receive a gift from the 'Hurst following his
sterling work for the tour of his new home town.
Venn met with club secretary Jamie Bradbury at The FA's Soho Square head
quarters and was welcomed with a warm handshake and a presented with lovely pair of
cuff-links.
On the flight back from Italy the team had pooled the remainder of their
Euros to raise enough for a 
solid silver pair of Tiffany & Co. cuff-links as
a thank-you for arranging a wonderful tour of Vicenza and match at the
ground of his employers.
Talks are now underway with Darren for his assistance in the European tour of 2003, through his overseas links,
should the ambitious Miami trip not come off. Watch this space...
