Woodhurst need you
Woodhurst FC is on the look-out for players
If you haven't got a club and want one, look no further. We play every Sunday morning in the Independent Sunday League. Our home ground is Parmiters Sport Ground in Walthamstow (near the dog track) and our away games stretch around east London and Essex. Romford, Ilford, Hornchurch and East Ham are as far as we really travel.
Until last season we were the holders of all the silverware that our league has to offer, however, after a number of departures from the club, we had a difficult season finishing runners-up in the league and cup.
However, that's just a secondary endeavor of Woodhurst FC. First and foremost we are a team of lads who enjoy football, beer and food. We have a great team spirit, we have two very good sponsors who provide the clubs with funds for equipment and one of the best grounds around and with our connections have been able to enjoy some first class social activities, such as tours to Prague, Denmark and Vicenza and in the process have played at the grounds of Slavia Prague (in the UEFA Cup) and Vicenza Calcio (Now Serie B - Juventus were there the week before us!), so you can see what we have to offer.
Our ages range from early 20s to late 30s, so whatever age you are, if you enjoy a good laugh, are committed (ie always make yourself available) and can play a bit of football, then look no further, Woodhurst FC is the club for you.
